CargoValue is about to get even smarter through its new interface
The summit opened with a presentation on Klaveness Combination Carriers' initiatives to reduce carbon emissions for Australian customers, setting a foundation for discussions throughout the day. This was followed by a dry bulk market update from Michael Jørgensen, Executive Vice President, Head of Dry Bulk who shared insights on current market trends and strategies.
Philip Paulsen, Market Manager at Klaveness Dry Bulk, discussed how real-time data is helping companies improve freight decision-making and address operational inefficiencies that impact global shipping emissions. His presentation highlighted the importance of optimizing processes to reduce emissions and promote a more sustainable future for shipping.
Technology as the enabler
As the evening progressed, attendees were offered a sneak peek into the Next Generation of Supply Chain management. Aleksander Stensby, CEO of Klaveness Digital, rounded off the evening with a glimpse into what we believe will be the future of supply chain management. His focus was on showcasing the possibilities that today’s technology and data offer—possibilities that were unimaginable just two or three years ago.
Stensby highlighted the rapid shift from manual processes and spreadsheets to AI-enabled tools that empower smarter decisions and more agile responses to changing conditions. He demonstrated how the Next Generation of CargoValue, with its modular collaborative workspaces and scenario-based decision-making capabilities, is not just another tool but a fundamental shift in managing global supply chains.
He explained that this new technology is enabling companies to break down silos, enhance collaboration, and better predict and manage supply chain risks.
A call for industry collaboration
The day concluded with a reception, providing an opportunity for attendees to network, share insights, and reflect on the day's key messages. The overarching theme of the summit was clear: achieving a sustainable and efficient shipping industry requires industry-wide collaboration and a willingness to embrace new technologies.
The event challenged participants to rethink their strategies, explore new partnerships, and leverage the latest tools and technologies to drive meaningful change. As the summit drew to a close, it was evident that while the challenges are significant, the opportunities for innovation and collaboration are even greater.
